“SHABAD”, a space that would leave the visitor speechless with its simplicity yet fun vibe with strategic colors. The central spinal courtyard filters light throughout the floors. As Jaipur is really hot in summers, the courtyard does not only help in ventilation but also has a small water body bringing in positivity and coolness to the space. The little 5 year old girl’s bedroom has soft pastel yellow chair along with 4 poster bed brining in the playful vibe. We love the reading space outside the master bedroom, with our wooden chairs and a lovely rug opening towards a full slider window. The living and dining are completely open towards the courtyard as well as a central kitchen that will encourage more and more family time. The simplicity of the house reflects in the exterior as well with the monotone colors and a strategically save tree over the drive way.
Most of the spaces in the house have been kept as bare white walls to facilitate the change in future. This will let the client use the space in multiple ways. Like the reading area outside the first floor master bedroom opens up to the terrace garden with the sliding door, thus one can convert it into a party zone when needed. All rooms have multiple windows and openings making the space connected to the outdoors. As jaipur is a city of social event and family gatherings, the formal drawing room also completely opens into the living area making it again a very social and big space for hosting people.
