Independent reception

The space provided for the reception was along the boundary wall and a temporary structure would fall in the limits of construction. As a school reception is completely public space, we designed a temporary structure in MS and puff panels and screwed glass on all sides to increase the visibility from indoors as well as outdoor.

The need of a reception to become centre of attraction even though it has been placed as an independent structure on the site was the driving criteria of the design. We played with lots of complimenting colors and geometries along the ceiling and wall to get the right amount of drama.

The space also encompasses a separate meeting area, for and when teachers want to meet some parents separately. This gave us an opportunity to further the play of form in the ceiling as well as in the furniture. The accent meeting table picks up color from the angular panel ceiling and liven up the space.
